Exhibition: LITERARY GEOGRAPHIES OF JOSÉ LUIS SAMPEDRO

HUMANS - Library
Since February 26, 2018 Until March 20, 2018

Sponsored by Acción Cultural Española and Diputación de Guadalajara

This exhibition is a tribute to the writer and academic José Luis Sampedro, on the occasion of the celebration in 2017 of the Centenary of his birth.

He proposes a journey through his literary work from his geographies, from those spaces that have left a mark in his writings, in his life.

The exhibition is organized into three complementary reading levels: Geographical and Literary with an explanation of how landscapes have influenced the life and works of José Luis Sampedro; Biographical with textual indications and reproductions of photographs by José Luis Sampedro on the panels; and Poetic with quotes about how the author understands the writing.

With his work "The river that takes us" he immortalized the trade of the gancheros, workers who drove the timber from the Alto Tajo to Aranjuez along the riverbed.
